J Vineyards & Winery’s winemaking philosophy is grounded in founder Judy Jordan’s sense of place and commitment to excellence. Located in Healdsburg, in the heart of the Russian River Valley, J began as a small méthode champenoise sparkling wine project that today has become a model for Russian River Valley artistry in both varietal and sparkling wines. J now produces site-specific wines from its estate acreage that checkerboard the Russian River Valley, with a focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, in addition to its signature J Vintage Brut and J Brut Rosé méthode champenoise bottlings, and is distributed in all 50 states. In early 2006 Judy Jordan brought on-board Sonoma winemaking legend George Bursick to take J Vineyards & Winery into a new era of world-class winemaking.
