SINGLE VINEYARD

These wines are Gina and Matt Gallo's unique interpretation of the diverse micro-climates in Sonoma, which showcase unique characteristics of our family's estate vineyards.

Barrelli Creek Vineyard

Originally planted in the 1880s, our family's Barrelli Creek Vineyard is located in the hillside benchlands of the Alexander Valley, on a site first planted by Italian immigrants. The warmest of our Sonoma County vineyards, Barrelli Creek Vineyard has soils comprised of gravel, sand, silt, and clay. The unique soil and warm climate add richness, depth and intensity to the Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera, and Zinfandel grapes grown here.

Frei Ranch Vineyard

Home to our Gallo Family Vineyards Winery, our family's Frei Ranch Vineyard was originally planted in the 1880s by Charles Dunz and Andrew Frei. It is located in the cooler, hillside benchlands of the Dry Creek Valley, where soils are a combination of gravel, clay, and loam. The vineyard's combination of warm days and cool nights ripen the fruit more slowly, which results in wines that are refined and elegant.

Laguna Vineyard

Originally planted in the late 1880s, our family's Laguna Vineyard is located in the cool hillsides of the Russian River Valley. The fog that lingers here throughout the day makes this one of the coolest of our Sonoma County vineyards, and the soils here are a combination of gravelly and sandy loam.

Stefani Vineyard

Our family's Stefani Vineyard is located in a southwest-northeast corridor connecting the warm hillsides of Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley. The vineyard's unique combination of light fog early in the morning and gravelly clay soil distinguishes this vineyard from other Gallo family vineyards.

Two Rock Vineyard

Our family's Two Rock Vineyard is located in the southern tip benchlands of Sonoma Coast, an emerging appellation in Sonoma County. Located in the Petaluma Gap, this vineyard is nestled in a climate cooler than its surroundings, and has heavy fog and winds from the San Francisco Bay that linger into the afternoon.
