J Vineyards & Winery sources varietal and sparkling wines from its estate acreage that follow the Russian River west around Sonoma County’s rolling hills and through its rich benchlands. This distinctive topography creates a wide diversity of soils, and the fog and Pacific Ocean-cooled air prolongs our growing season, ripening wines to perfection. Home to more than 50 wineries and 200 winegrowers, Russian River Valley has been an American Viticultural Area (AVA) since 1983.

Lauded Sonoma County Winemaker George Bursick is meticulous in his detail to create J wines which honor their origins with finesse and power—combining time-honored tradition with innovation. Deliberate, hands-on methods include hand-harvesting and sorting, whole-cluster pressing in a unique Coquard press for white wines, multiple punch-downs during Pinot Noir fermentation, the maintenance of separate vineyards lots for all wines until final blending, aging in select American and French oak barrels, and minimal fining and filtration.
