OSMOSIS MEDITATION GARDEN

The meditation garden at Osmosis provides a quiet resting place for you to enjoy following your treatments. It is designed to extend your relaxation experience by further emphasizing the atmosphere of sacred time and sacred space at Osmosis. This profoundly peaceful environment has the unmistakable effect of quieting the heart and soul. Spa guests weave their way through walls of bamboo and pass through a shoji gate, and a moon door before seeing the cobblestone-pond and hearing the sound of the waterfall. The garden is a 10-stage walk through sculpture inspired by the Chinese Zen parable of the Ox and the Ox herder.

The garden also has three aromatic chamomile lawns where you can lay down and rest. This form of chamomile was used in Roman times to promote sleep, ease headaches and create a profound sense of relaxation. As you lay on the herb, the oils come forth by the weight of your body. The smell is divine and the effect is dream-like as this unparalleled form of aromatherapy works its magic.

Access to the garden is available to all Osmosis guests allowing you to savor the heightened state of sensory awareness and inner peace that often follows Osmosis treatments.

FROM SAN FRANCISCO AND MARIN

Take US 101 North to Petaluma. Exit at East Washington Street and turn left at the signal, heading towards Bodega Bay. Stay on this road for 22 miles, the name of the road changes several times as you head northwest. Just beyond the small town of Valley Ford, the road splits; take the right fork (Freestone/Valley Ford Road) after the large green highway sign pointing towards Occidental and Monte Rio. Continue for 2 miles, until it ends in a T intersection at Bodega Highway. Turn right and go 1.5 miles to Bohemian Hwy where you turn left heading towards Freestone and Occidental. Osmosis Enzyme Bath is 1/4 mile down on the right. Driving time is 75 minutes from San Francisco. Note: During periods of heavy rains we recommend coming on Highway 116 as the back road near Valley Ford is often flooded.

FROM BODEGA BAY

Take Highway 1 South. Turn left on Bodega Highway/Highway 12, at the large green sign, pointing left towards Bodega and Sebastopol. Stay on this road for approximately 10 minutes. Turn left on Bohemian Highway. Osmosis is a 1/4 mile on the right. Driving time is 15 minutes.
