The centerpiece of Osmosis is the signature cedar enzyme bath, a warm mixture of light, fragrant cedar fibers, rice bran, and over 600 active enzymes. Mingled together in a roomy redwood bath tub, the unique combination of ingredients ferments and heats naturally, generating soothing cedar-scented steam that heals body and soul. More often than not, 20 minutes in the bath induces a profound state of relaxation unlike any other heat treatment. The bath improves circulation and metabolism, breaks down body toxins, and thoroughly cleanses and beautifies the skin. The enzyme bath often provides relief from aches and pains and is especially beneficial if you are suffering from tension, fatigue, and stress.

The cedar enzyme bath begins with a warm enzyme drink. Upon arrival, you will be quietly ushered into a private room overlooking the tea garden's swaying bamboo, picture-perfect bonsai, and falling water. There you sip a mixture of herbal tea and pleasant-tasting enzyme powder imported from Japan. The enzyme drink known as "Koso" is both soothing and energizing.

Placed along the wooded banks of Salmon Creek, these light airy wooden enclosures provide the ideal setting for massage. Offered year-round, many of our guests find this opportunity to commune with nature while receiving massage most enchanting.

SPECIALTY MASSAGE

Osmosis now offers Thai, Breema, and Shiatsu treatments. Chosen because their styles fit well with Osmosis' Asian theme, these three new modalities are completely different from Swedish/Esalen table massage. Performed on a mat on the floor, the recipient is dressed in comfortable non-restrictive clothing.

The most recent addition to our menu is Connective Tissue massage. This treatment is characterized by bodywork strokes that have a pace that is slower and deeper than Swedish massage. The recipient breathes into the experience becoming consciously aware of the changes going on in the body.
